[waterloo_biofuels] Re: Biodiesel Filters
Mcmaster-Carr: Spin-on, 3, 5, 10 micron $20 and down. Can't tell
what thread size is, but you can order the plate with it (more $$).
You should be able to cross reference it, once you get your hands on
the cartridge. Have you looked in the hydaulic filters @ Princess?

test it on a hill right away. that should tell me immediately as to
whether or not it is a filter problem.

but that IS the symptom of a fuel restriction. You notice it first
on hard acceleration or hill climbing and then as it gets worse
you'll get a hesitation on even mild acceleration (the boost gauge
will show the story quite clearly) but it will be ok at a constant
speed. Then the max speed at which it will run smoothly gets
progressively lower.....don't ask me how I know this. LOL Just
trust me and take a spare filter along on long trips through the
wilderness in the winter! And don't be a dope when you are mixing
your fuel LMAO.

changes? I ask this because I just notice a severe loss in power
when I go uphill on the 81 Benz (not on level gound, it runs great)
and I'm wondering if it's time to change my fuel filter it's been on
for a year and about 10,000km using dino diesel fall and spring and
B100 in summer.
